Work Bond Procedures
The Girls Soccer League of Old Bridge is an all-volunteer organization. We depend and rely on our parents to assist us in making our league successful and fun for your children.
To achieve this desired result we ask everyone to pitch in a little bit to give us hand. You may volunteer as a Coach, Assistant Coach, TTeam Manager (mom), 50/50 Person, Concession Stand Worker, or Field Maintenance.
Team Manager (mom) is not listed on the registration since this are assigned by the coach.
When you signed up your child to play in our league you gave the league a separate $75.00 Workbond check, and agreed that this workbond would be refunded when the work was complete. It is your responsibility to schedule a time convenient for you to fulfill your commitment to the league using the procedure below:

Coach, Assistant Coach, Team Manager (Mom) - The coach will complete the workbond form and submit to the concession stand or the VP of Recreational Soccer. Once submitted workbond checks will be returned at the end of the season.
The VP of Recreation must approve all coaches before a team is assigned.
Concession Stand, Field Maintenance, 50/50 Person-
All positions are on a first-come, first-served basis. If you cannot make your assigned time, it is your responsibility to contact Work Bond Director at the concession stand or via e-mail at workbond@gslob.com two days prior with either a replacement or Switch times with another parent. If you do not show up for you’re agreed upon time your check will be cashed immediately.
As much as we would prefer you to volunteer, if you cannot or do not volunteer, be advised your work bond check will be cashed. No checks will be returned without completing your volunteer obligation.
Instructions for work bond signup:
2) Create a login name if you’re a first time visitor or Log in if you already have an account.
3) Select a time and date on the calendar and click “New Booking”
4) Enter your full name, home and mobile number then click on “Create Booking”
Workbond for OBSL:
If you have a children in the GSLOB & OBSL, you are only required to volunteer for one club, and the workbond check from both leagues will be returned. You MUST contact the workbond director from both leagues ASAP so they are aware of this situation, and your check is not cashed in error.
Workbond Schedule:
08:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. (Field Maintenance, setting up goals etc.)
01:30 p.m. - 03:30 p.m. (Field Maintenance, empty garbage, cleanup etc.)
09:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. (Concession, Parking lot safety, 50/50)
11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (Concession, Parking lot safety, 50/50)
1:00 p.m. - 03:00 p.m. (Concession, Parking lot safety, 50/50)

There has been some confusion about how the workbond process works.
The league is run 100% by volunteers. We require every family to submit one workbond check (this covers the entire family).
Some confusion is related to people selecting an area to volunteer, and they think a check does not need to be sent because they are volunteering. This is not the case. A workbond check must always accompany the registration. If you are paying by credit card, then the workbond check must be sent on it’s own.
Your check will be returned to you when you’ve completed your work. Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Manager (mom), and 50/50 volunteers will receive their check at the last game of the season. Please make sure your check is returned before you leave that day. We do not want to cash your check.
Your workbond check will be cashed if you do not sign up to volunteer, or you marked "Opt out" on your registration and paid the registration fee by personal check.
If you paid by credit card and "opt out", then you are not required to send a check. Your credit card was automatically charged the $75.00.
